Bilingual Specialist, pharmacy system solution and support (1 year term contract)

Location: Montreal Office (Additional location: SDM Toronto Office)

Overview
Reporting directly to the Director of QC Initiatives, the incumbent provides second‑level pharmacy systems business support for Quebec store‑level pharmacy systems and applications. The role evaluates testing, creates user documentation for functional processes and data conversions, and delivers on‑site support, impact analysis, and functional solutions for third‑party adjudication issues, programs, and initiatives.

Primary Responsibilities

Provide second‑level pharmacy systems business support for stores and field resources, including data migration, acquisitions and mergers with UAT strategy and execution, stakeholder liaison, and documentation.

Research and test functional solutions, strategies and tactics to update reference material for third‑party adjudication, expanded scope of pharmacy practice and pharmacy initiatives.

Support development, testing and implementation of new pharmacy management systems as required.

Liaise with the Pharmacy Enhanced Support team to provide ongoing training and issue management for new pharmacy programs.

Analyze, research and develop business rules for operational impact analysis, testing, documentation, planning, implementation and integration of pharmacy programs and initiatives.

Develop a deployment and support plan for all PHX pharmacies covering hardware and network, coordinate with central LCL teams and oversee design activities.





Manage training execution for pharmacy system users.

Oversee and facilitate deployment communications in a clear, concise, timely fashion.

Collaborate with stakeholders to avoid schedule conflicts, route needs to appropriate channels, ensure task ownership and avoid duplication.

Support AssystRx software releases in collaboration with Telus.

Coordinate, oversee and support ongoing hardware fixes and store requests.

Provide AssystRx hardware and network support with internal processes (Snow, dashboards, SLA’s, etc.) in coordination with Telus or other stakeholders.

Support franchise ownership changes related to adjudication licences, connectivity and accounting set‑up.

Support finance and accounting teams on inventory issues and financial reporting.

Support acquisition team during due diligence of current opportunities, counselling and reporting.

Other projects or duties as assigned.

Occasional travel required.

Skills, Experience & Education

Bilingual – English and French.

Experience with Assyst‑Rx pharmacy management system.

Knowledge of Quebec pharmacy regulations, prescription reimbursement plans, clinical programs, pharmacy workflow and health technology.

Understanding of RAMQ, AQPP,



CPhA03 Pharmacy Claim Standard and CLHIA Coordination of Benefits Guideline.

Familiarity with Electronic Health Records (DSQ).

Excellent problem‑solving and interpersonal skills.

Ability to manage competing priorities.

Experience with expanded scope of pharmacy practice such as medication reviews, injection services and prescribing.

Experience with Retail/Long‑Term Care pharmacy services.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office and JIRA/Confluence.

Ability to work flexible hours, independently and as a team.

Knowledge of integration of MMS/EPOS/accounting and SDM software.

Experience / Education

Two to three years of related pharmacy practice experience in Quebec.

Two to three years of advanced knowledge of current pharmacy business practices, prescription claims processes and pharmacy legislation.

Two to three years of pharmacy assistant experience or store‑level management, or completion of a Pharmacy Technician Program.

Relevant certificates, licences or registration.
