Senior Project Manager at Fispan. About the role Fispan is seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Manager to join our dynamic team in Vancouver, British Columbia. This role is pivotal in driving the successful execution of complex projects within the financial technology sector. What you'll do Lead and manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring alignment with Fispan's strategic goals and client expectations.
Develop comprehensive project plans that outline scope, timelines, resources, and budget, while effectively communicating these plans to stakeholders.
Coordinate with internal teams, including engineering, product management, and sales, to facilitate seamless project execution and delivery.
Monitor project progress, identifying potential risks and implementing mitigation strategies to address challenges proactively.
Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing regular updates and ensuring their needs are met throughout the project lifecycle.
Conduct project meetings, preparing agendas, and documenting minutes to ensure clear communication and accountability among team members.
Utilize project management tools and methodologies to track project milestones and deliverables, ensuring transparency and efficiency.
Analyze project outcomes and performance metrics, providing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement in processes and practices.




Mentor and guide junior project managers and team members, fostering a culture of collaboration and knowledge sharing.
Prepare and present project status reports to senior management, highlighting achievements, challenges, and future plans.
Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices in project management, contributing to Fispan's reputation for excellence.
Engage in stakeholder management, building strong relationships with clients and internal teams to enhance collaboration and project success.
Requirements A minimum of 5 years of experience in project management, preferably within the financial technology or software development sectors.
Proven track record of successfully managing complex projects from initiation to completion, with a focus on delivering high-quality results.
Strong understanding of project management methodologies, such as Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall, and the ability to adapt these methodologies to suit project needs.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and effectively to diverse audiences.
Demonstrated leadership abilities, with experience in guiding teams and fostering a collaborative work environment.
Proficiency in project management software and tools, such as Jira, Trello, or Microsoft Project, to facilitate project tracking and reporting.




Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make data-driven decisions.
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as Business Administration, Project Management, or a related discipline.
PMP or equivalent project management certification is highly desirable.
Nice to have Experience working in a startup or fast-paced environment, with the ability to adapt to changing priorities and demands.
Familiarity with financial services, banking operations, or payment processing systems.
Knowledge of software development processes and methodologies, enhancing collaboration with technical teams.
Experience in stakeholder engagement and management, particularly in a client-facing role.
Skills & tools Strong leadership and team management skills.
Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and project management tools.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
Practical notes This position is based in Vancouver, British Columbia, and may require occasional travel for client meetings or project-related activities.
The salary for this role will be competitive and commensurate with experience, with additional benefits provided by Fispan.
