Job Description: As part of a multidisciplinary team, the Public Health Nurse provides a full range of community-based public health nursing services including pre and post natal care, immunization, health appraisal and screening, communicable disease follow-up and health counseling. The Public Health Nurse participates in community health initiatives utilizing collaborative and collective approaches to health in partnership with the community.
Human Resources Exemption: No
Experience Supervisory experience is an asset
Minimum of one (1) year Public Health Nursing experience is an asset.
Education Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN)
Licenses Valid Class 5 driver's license
Knowledge and Abilities Knowledge in population and public health concepts
Other Information Registered/eligible with the College of Registered Nurses of Saskatchewan (CRNS)
May be eligible for Recruitment and/or Retention Incentives
Travel required
Ability to travel extensively including travel on rural roads
