About the role In the position of Senior Platform Engineer, you will play a crucial role in enhancing both infrastructure reliability and the developer experience. Your responsibilities will include ensuring the scalability of our Kubernetes-based cloud environment while collaborating on the transition to a self-service platform model. You will apply principles of software engineering to infrastructure, utilizing Agentic AI to automate intricate workflows and create streamlined processes that eliminate manual tasks. Your focus will be on architecting software solutions that manage clusters, ensuring systems are resilient, cost-effective, and self-healing.

What you’ll do Lead the design and execution of an Internal Developer Platform that simplifies infrastructure complexities, enabling developers to utilize self-service tools for environment setup and deployment.
Collaborate with the team to maintain and expand multi-region Azure/AKS environments using Terraform and ArgoCD.
Partner with application engineers to implement comprehensive observability through Datadog and set meaningful reliability objectives (SLOs).
Develop Python-based AI agents and tools aimed at reducing operational workload and enhancing efficiency.
Engage in on-call rotations and facilitate Root Cause Analysis (RCA) to transform incidents into opportunities for platform enhancements or automated solutions.
Assist in team code reviews, document best practices,



and help establish standard deployment and security patterns.
Requirements A Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
Over 5 years of professional software development experience, with a strong grasp of the entire software development lifecycle, system design, and principles of clean code.
More than 7 years of experience in platform engineering, particularly in managing large-scale production environments.
Proficiency in Python or Go for automation, tool development, and AI agent integration.
Experience with managing Kubernetes (AKS) and using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/Terragrunt) in a collaborative environment.
Nice to have A proven history of building or contributing to an Internal Developer Platform (IDP), such as Backstage, internal CLI tools, or custom portals.
Experience working with application teams to define Service Level Indicators (SLIs) and Service Level Objectives (SLOs) to enhance service reliability.
Demonstrated ability to mentor junior engineers and lead technical initiatives within the team.
Familiarity with implementing GitOps (ArgoCD) and Policy-as-Code (Kyverno)



to streamline team workflows.
Experience in developing Agentic AI tools to automate repetitive operational tasks.
Expertise in using Datadog for observability, dashboarding, and incident management.

Practical notes The annual base salary for this role ranges from $115,000 to $140,000, along with eligibility for an annual discretionary bonus based on performance.
