Senior Data Engineer at ZoomInfo Technologies LLC About the role ZoomInfo Technologies LLC is seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Engineer to join our dynamic team in Toronto, Ontario. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust data pipelines that support our data-driven initiatives. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the integrity and accessibility of our data, enabling our organization to make informed decisions. What you'll do Design and implement scalable data pipelines to facilitate the extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) of large datasets from various sources.
Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to understand their data requirements and ensure that the necessary data is available for analysis.
Optimize existing data processes to improve performance and reduce latency, ensuring timely access to critical information.
Develop and maintain data models that accurately represent business processes and support reporting and analytics.
Monitor data quality and integrity, implementing automated checks and balances to ensure accuracy and reliability.
Work with cloud-based data storage solutions, such as AWS or Azure, to manage and scale data infrastructure effectively.
Participate in code reviews and provide mentorship to junior engineers,



fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies in data engineering, recommending best practices and innovative solutions.
Document data workflows, processes, and systems to ensure transparency and facilitate knowledge sharing among team members.
Collaborate with IT and security teams to ensure compliance with data governance and security policies.
Engage in troubleshooting and debugging of data-related issues, providing timely resolutions to maintain operational efficiency.
Contribute to the development of data strategy and roadmap, aligning with organizational goals and objectives.
Requirements Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
A minimum of 5 years of experience in data engineering or a similar role, with a proven track record of building and maintaining data pipelines.
Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala, with a strong understanding of data structures and algorithms.
Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases, including but not limited to PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or Cassandra.
Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and tools, such as Snowflake, Redshift, or BigQuery.
Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) and their data services.




Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Looker is a plus.
Understanding of data privacy regulations and best practices in data governance.
Nice to have Experience with machine learning frameworks and libraries, such as TensorFlow or PyTorch.
Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
Previous experience in a fast-paced startup environment or technology company.
Knowledge of Apache Kafka or similar streaming technologies.
Familiarity with Agile methodologies and experience working in cross-functional teams.
