What you’ll do Lead the design and implementation of new features and enhancements for the Kruxanalytics platform, ensuring high performance and scalability.
Collaborate with product management and stakeholders to define the roadmap and prioritize development tasks based on business needs and user feedback.
Manage a team of software engineers, providing mentorship, guidance, and support to foster their professional growth and enhance team productivity.
Oversee the entire software development lifecycle, from initial concept through to deployment and ongoing maintenance, ensuring adherence to best practices and quality standards.
Conduct code reviews and ensure that all development work aligns with the architectural vision and technical requirements of the platform.
Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines to streamline the deployment process and improve the efficiency of development operations.
Analyze system performance and user feedback to identify areas for improvement,



driving continuous enhancement of the platform’s functionality and user experience.
Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies to inform platform development strategies and maintain a competitive edge in the market.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data scientists and UX/UI designers, to create cohesive and user-friendly solutions that meet customer needs.
Prepare and present technical documentation, project updates, and strategic proposals to senior management and other stakeholders.
Ensure compliance with data security and privacy regulations, implementing necessary measures to protect sensitive information.
Foster a culture of innovation and experimentation within the team, encouraging creative problem-solving and the exploration of current ideas.
Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field; a Master’s degree is a plus.
A minimum of 5 years of experience in software development, with a focus on platform or application development.
Proven experience in a leadership role, managing teams and driving successful project outcomes.
Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or C#, along with experience in web technologies like HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
Solid understanding of database management systems,



both SQL and NoSQL, and experience with data modeling and architecture.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and strategically about technology solutions.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Experience with Agile methodologies and project management tools (e.g., Jira, Trello) is highly desirable.
Nice to have Experience in the analytics or data science domain, particularly in developing solutions for data-driven decision-making.
Familiarity with machine learning frameworks and data processing tools (e.g., TensorFlow, Apache Spark).
Previous experience in a startup environment, demonstrating adaptability and a hands‑on approach to problem-solving.
Skills & tools Proficient in software development best practices, including version control (Git), testing frameworks, and documentation standards.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and derive actionable insights.
Knowledge of user experience principles and the ability to collaborate effectively with design teams.
Familiarity with security best practices in software development and data management.
Practical notes This role is based in Calgary, Alberta, and requires a full-time commitment.
