About the role As the Design Build Engineering Lead at Tritech, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and managing engineering projects from conception through to completion. This position requires a blend of technical expertise and leadership skills, as you will be responsible for guiding a team of engineers while ensuring that all designs meet the highest standards of quality and efficiency.

What you’ll do Lead the design and engineering processes for various projects, ensuring adherence to timelines and budget constraints.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including project managers, architects, and construction personnel, to ensure seamless integration of design and build phases.
Conduct thorough reviews of engineering designs and specifications, providing constructive feedback to enhance project outcomes.
Develop and implement best practices for design and engineering processes, focusing on continuous improvement and innovation.
Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering a culture of learning and professional development within the team.
Engage with clients to understand their needs and expectations, translating them into actionable engineering solutions.
Oversee the preparation of technical documentation, including reports, proposals, and presentations, ensuring clarity and precision.
Monitor project progress and performance metrics,
making data-driven decisions to optimise efficiency and effectiveness.
Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and safety protocols throughout all phases of the project lifecycle.
Participate in project risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies to address potential challenges.
Facilitate regular team meetings to discuss project updates, challenges, and opportunities for collaboration.
Stay abreast of emerging trends and technologies in engineering design and construction, integrating relevant advancements into project workflows.
Requirements Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field; a Master's degree is a plus.
A minimum of 7 years of experience in engineering design and project management, preferably within the construction or infrastructure sector.
Proven leadership experience, with the ability to motivate and guide a diverse team of professionals.
Solid understanding of design-build project delivery methods and related contractual frameworks.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Proficiency in engineering design software and tools, such as AutoCAD, Revit,
or similar applications.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail and quality.
Familiarity with relevant industry standards, codes, and regulations applicable to engineering projects.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to identifying and addressing challenges.
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, adapting to changing priorities and project demands.
Nice to have Professional Engineering (P.Eng) designation or equivalent certification.
Experience with sustainable design practices and green building certifications.
Knowledge of project management methodologies, such as Agile or Lean principles.
Familiarity with construction management software and tools.
Previous experience working in a client-facing role, enhancing customer relationships and satisfaction.

Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Practical notes This position is based in Vancouver, British Columbia, and may require occasional travel to project sites.
