What you'll do

- Lead the preconstruction phase of various projects, ensuring alignment with company goals and client expectations.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and subcontractors to develop comprehensive project plans and schedules.
- Conduct thorough site assessments and feasibility studies to identify potential challenges and opportunities.
- Prepare detailed cost estimates and budgets, utilizing industry-standard software and methodologies.
- Develop and maintain project timelines, ensuring all stakeholders are informed of progress and any changes.
- Facilitate value engineering sessions to optimize project costs without compromising quality or safety.
- Review and analyze project contracts and specifications to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.




- Coordinate with the procurement team to identify and source materials and services needed for project execution.
- Prepare and present preconstruction reports and proposals to clients and internal stakeholders.
- Mentor and guide junior staff in preconstruction processes, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Participate in project kickoff meetings to ensure a smooth transition from preconstruction to construction phases.
- Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to enhance preconstruction processes.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in preconstruction management or a similar role within the construction industry.
- Proven track record of successfully managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and legal regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with clients and team members.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools, such as Procore, Microsoft Project, or similar platforms.
- Solid analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team workplace.




- Familiarity with budgeting and financial management in construction projects.

Nice to have

- Professional certifications such as PMP (Project Management Professional) or CCM (Certified Construction Manager).
- Experience with sustainable building practices and green construction methods.
- Knowledge of Building Information Modeling (BIM) and its application in preconstruction processes.
- Previous experience in a leadership role, managing teams or mentoring junior staff.
- Familiarity with local building codes and regulations specific to Arkansas.
