Key Responsibilities
Provide overall leadership and direction for the insulation division, including field crews and apprentices Estimate, quote, and secure insulation work for industrial, commercial, and oilfield clients Plan and schedule projects, crews, equipment, and materials across multiple job sites Monitor project budgets, productivity, and progress, and report on division performance Ensure all work meets quality standards, client specifications, and applicable codes Champion the company safety program, leading hazard assessments, toolbox talks, and incident follow-up Hire, train, mentor, and evaluate journeypersons and apprentices, and support apprenticeship development Build and maintain client relationships and pursue current business opportunities Coordinate with other divisions on integrated project scopes (fabrication, coatings, modules)
Oversee division purchasing of insulation materials, jacketing, and consumables Qualifications & Skills
Journeyman Heat and Frost Insulator certification required; Red Seal endorsement preferred 5+ years of trade experience, including 2+ years in a supervisory or management role Proven estimating and project management experience in industrial or commercial insulation Strong knowledge of insulation systems and metal jacketing/cladding applications Excellent leadership, communication, and client relationship skills Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with estimating software an asset Valid drivers license and ability to travel to project sites Current safety tickets is an asset
