Roles include development and verification of calculations as well as analysis of existing structures to support project execution.Provide engineering justification/approval for requested construction changes, and support required design changes to existing engineering documents. Provide knowledge in structural steel and concrete design and installation, and the ability to quickly resolve field issues which warrant engineering changes.Major DutiesPerforms a variety of more complex engineering assignments typically in areas of design, development, analysis, evaluation, testing, preparation of specifications,



execution of field tasks and resolution of field problems.Prepare design change notice (DCN) packages in accordance with customer engineering change proceduresSupport field construction and execution activities including field change notices, design revisions, commissioning, and EC closeout.Receives minimal assistance and instruction on most assignments and solutions.Ensures compliance with government, organization and customer engineering standards including CSA S16, A23.3, N291, S136, and S157Independently evaluates, selects and applies a variety of technical techniques, procedures, and criteria using judgement in making more complex adaptations and modifications.Develops recent or adapted products, methods, systems or models to provide added value solutions to customers.Researches and assesses best practices, proposing methods and improvements.Coordinates engineering work performed by subcontractors and vendorsCoordinates, reviews and verifies work performed by junior staffCoordinates change requests from construction and procurementWorks on special projects, as directed.Performs other related duties and tasks, as required. #J-18808-Ljbffr
