Bilingual Receptionist

About us:

The Ontario Pension Board (OPB) administers the Public Service Pension Plan (the PSPP), a major defined benefit pension plan sponsored by the Government of Ontario. About the role:

OPB is looking for an energetic self‑starter who is excited to provide superior client‑driven bilingual reception support. Reporting to the Manager, Corporate Operations, you will be part of a collaborative Administrative Team of professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

- Responsible for creating a welcoming and professional environment.
- Determine the needs of both callers and visitors and provide them appropriate support.
- Manage deliveries and support security protocols.
- Support the administrative team by assisting with coordination of corporate and team engagements, special initiatives and projects; prepare draft correspondence and documents including orientation schedules and meeting agendas; support calendar management and travel coordination; provide research on diverse topics and prepare simple reports.

Key Qualifications:

- Excellent interpersonal skills to engage clients and stakeholders confidently and respectfully with a professional client‑centric approach.
- Excellent comprehension and verbal communication skills in both English and French.
- Demonstrated experience and skill providing administrative office support within a corporate workplace, including managing all travel functions and bookings.




- Previous receptionist experience within a busy customer‑service environment that demonstrates strong client‑relationship skills.
- Strong calendar‑management experience supporting scheduling of meetings, corporate‑wide events and initiatives.
- Capability to handle and diffuse difficult situations with tact and diplomacy, applying proven judgment and problem‑solving analysis.
- Ability to organize and prioritize various work assignments in a coordinated and efficient manner, ensuring strong attention to detail to meet established timelines and complete work on own initiative with minimal supervision.
- Flexibility and adaptability to move between a variety of tasks and changing priorities, working effectively and diplomatically.
- Reliable and initiative‑driven with a proven ability to work in a high‑pressure environment with competing demands.
- Collaborative team player with excellent judgment and analytical thinking skills.
- Demonstrated knowledge and skills navigating within a Microsoft environment (e.g. Microsoft Office), particularly Word, Outlook and Excel.

Compensation:

The base salary for this position starts at $64,454 with future potential of up to $75,829. Candidates generally start at Step 1 salary. Placement in the range is based on skills, knowledge, experience and internal equity, with consideration for how the candidate is developing, meets, or exceeds the role’s requirements.
