What you'll do Architect, implement, and oversee the operation of large-scale web applications that cater to our diverse user base.
Develop and enhance the backend architecture and technology stack tailored to specific product domains.
Work on improving the performance, reliability, scalability, and security of our backend systems to ensure optimal functionality.
Engage in the migration from a monolithic architecture to a microservices-based system, facilitating improved modularity and flexibility.
Address intricate technical challenges that arise in the logistics domain, driving innovation and efficiency.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and refine product requirements and technical specifications.
Conduct code reviews and mentor junior engineers to foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
Utilize data-driven approaches to analyze system performance and identify areas for enhancement.
Requirements A Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD degree in Computer Science or a closely related discipline.
A minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in the software engineering field.




Demonstrated expertise in backend technology stacks and their application in real-world scenarios.
Strong analytical capabilities to assess and enhance system efficiency, scalability, and stability.
Familiarity with service-oriented architecture principles, RESTful API development, unit testing methodologies, and architectural design patterns.
In-depth knowledge of modern web architecture and communication protocols, including HTTP and REST.
Experience with both SQL and NoSQL databases, including but not limited to Postgres, Redis, Elasticsearch, and RabbitMQ.
Nice to have Experience in developing large-scale, real-time applications that require high availability and performance.
Proficiency in programming languages such as Java or Kotlin.
Contributions to open-source projects that demonstrate your coding skills and commitment to the developer community.
Skills & tools Proficient in backend development frameworks and programming languages relevant to the role.
Familiar with various database management systems, both SQL and NoSQL.
Experienced in API design and implementation best practices.
Knowledgeable about microservices architecture and its principles.




Practical notes The salary for this position ranges from $185,000 to $231,500 CAD, influenced by factors such as individual skills, experience, and geographic location.
In addition to the base salary, there are opportunities for equity grants, providing a chance to share in the company's success.
