Salary: CAD 116,000 to CAD 145,000 base salary
Team: Engineering, reporting to Jeremy Greenberger (Senior Manager, Software Engineering)
What you’ll do Collaborate closely with product and design teams to create seamless cardholder experiences that meet user needs.
Take the lead in developing React Native SDKs and applications that are robust and scalable.
Design and implement reusable components that adhere to contemporary design patterns, ensuring consistency across applications.
Enhance mobile application performance by employing rendering strategies, lazy loading techniques, and code splitting practices.
Establish and define technical roadmaps and system architecture to guide development efforts.
Mentor and support junior engineers, fostering a culture of excellence by promoting best practices such as automated testing and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD).
Conduct code reviews to ensure high-quality code and adherence to engineering standards.
Stay updated with the latest trends in frontend development and share insights with the team to drive innovation.
Requirements A minimum of 5 years of experience in web and mobile development, with a strong emphasis on React Native.
Demonstrated proficiency with React Navigation, Expo, and the development of native modules using Swift, Kotlin, Objective-C, or Java.




Proven experience in bridging React Native with native components for both iOS and Android platforms.
In-depth understanding of React.js, including state management techniques such as Redux and the Context API, as well as component-based architecture.
Familiarity with mobile performance profiling and effective memory management strategies.
Capability to integrate both GraphQL and RESTful APIs into applications seamlessly.
Knowledge of mobile authentication methods, including OAuth and biometrics, along with experience using CI/CD tools like Fastlane, Bitrise, or App Center.
Nice to have Experience with Swift or Kotlin for native application integration would be advantageous.
A background in the Fintech or Payments sector is a plus.
Understanding of the release processes for the App Store and Google Play Store.
Familiarity with TypeScript can enhance your contribution to the team.
Knowledge of WebAssembly or Progressive Web Applications (PWAs) is a beneficial addition.
Skills & tools Proficient in React Native, JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, CSS, and Git for version control.
