The demand planning specialist is responsible for developing and maintaining accurate 0 to 24-month rolling demand forecast for assigned product segment and/or banners. Your main mandate is to improve forecast accuracy by leveraging advanced features of SAP-IBP Demand Planning, external market data, and collaboration with the Commercial team. This role acts as a strategic bridge between Commercial, Supply Chain, Finance, and IT teams to continuously enhance forecasting capabilities and planning maturity. This role also leads the adoption and optimization of advanced forecasting capabilities including statistical modeling, demand sensing, machine learning algorithms, forecast value add (FVA), and exception-based planning. The successful candidate will reduce manual forecasting activities by leveraging automation, improve forecast accuracy through advanced statistical techniques.

Where you will drive value Demand Planning Ownership:
Own the end-to-end demand planning cycle for assigned banner and/or product family
Drive demand reviews and consensus alignment across functions
Translate commercial intelligence, promotions, and NPD assumptions into robust forecast inputs
Analyze historical sales, seasonality, promotions, pricing impacts, and market trends
Identify demand risks and opportunities and communicate them to stakeholders
Support new product launches, promotional planning, and portfolio changes
Advanced Forecasting & Demand Analytics Establish, calibrate, and continuously optimize SAP IBP Forecasting & Demand Sensing models
Evaluate and optimize forecasting algorithms across product portfolios
Lead deployment and continuous improvement of SAP IBP Demand capabilities in collaboration with the COE and IT SAP-IBP experts
Reduce manual touchpoints across the forecasting workflow
Ensure that automated forecasting routines, alerts, and exception management processes within SAP IBP are aligned with business needs
Develop forecasting segmentation strategies based on product behavior, lifecycle, and demand variability
Perform forecast value add (FVA) analysis to quantify planner and commercial input effectiveness
Identify forecast drivers and demand patterns using advanced analytics
Conduct scenario planning and predictive analysis to support business decisions
Continuous Improvement & Coaching Lead forecasting improvement initiatives and standardize best practices
Coach and mentor planners on SAP IBP capabilities and forecasting methodologies
Support the rollout of recent planning tools, processes, and governance frameworks
What will enable you to have an impact Education Required: Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Computer science or related field.
Experience Required: 5+ years of experience in demand or supply chain planning. Preference for hands-on experience with SAP IBP Demand module. Proven track record leading cross-functional forecasting processes. Experience in consumer-packaged goods (CPG), food, dairy, or manufacturing environments preferred.
Skills Required: SAP-IBP Demand planning advanced tools: Statistical forecasting, Demand sensing, Exception-based planning & alerts. Advanced excel. Delivering summarized data-driven insights to stakeholders. Business acumen. Cross-functional collaboration. Continuous improvement mindset. Influencing without authority.
