Lead impactful fundraising and engagement initiatives as a Development and Engagement Officer at the Marine Institute. This role involves community building, donor relations, and project management.
The Office of the Deputy Provost (Marine Institute) is seeking a Development and Engagement Officer with 5-7 years of experience in development or fundraising. Candidates will coordinate various initiatives, working closely with internal and external stakeholders, including students, alumni, government, and industry partners. Successful applicants will manage relationships and support fundraising goals while enhancing alumni engagement through social media and other platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
• Facilitate and coordinate fundraising and alumni activities
• Build relationships with prospective donors and partners
• Draft correspondence and proposals for donor engagement
• Assist in alumni social media activities and database management
• Plan and execute donor relations programs
Requirements:
• 5-7 years in a senior fundraising or development role
• Master’s degree in business administration preferred
• Solid communication and relationship-building skills
• Experience in marine or fisheries sectors is an asset
• Valid driver’s license required
