About the role Faire is seeking a technical leader to help shape product features for small and medium businesses by designing advanced data capabilities. You will partner with product analysts, data scientists, and software engineers to build infrastructure that drives company growth and user satisfaction.
Key facts Location: Toronto, ON Engagement: Full-time, hybrid (3 days per week in office)
What you'll do Lead multi-phase projects from initial design through final implementation.
Define architecture and roadmaps for scalable data models and pipelines.
Develop data pipelines with a focus on validation, testing, observability, and data quality.
Improve operational efficiency in system reliability and project management.
Maintain security standards across all data workflows.
Integrate new technologies to improve data reliability and insight accuracy.
Requirements 4+ years of experience in data engineering or analytics roles focused on large-scale processing and modeling.
BA/BS degree in Math, Physics, Computer Science,



or a related technical field.
Production-level coding proficiency in Python.
Advanced SQL skills, specifically in query optimization and data model architecture.
Extensive knowledge of ETL processes, data warehousing, and big data technologies.
Proven track record of leading projects and collaborating across multiple stakeholder groups.
Skills & tools Airflow - Docker - DBT
Practical notes Salary range: $171,000 to $235,500 per year plus equity and benefits.
Hybrid employees work in the office on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and one adaptable day.
Employees have the flexibility to work remotely for up to 4 weeks per year.
