About the role Guidepoint is seeking a highly skilled Senior Technical Product Manager to lead the strategic development and delivery of our AI Platform and Data Products. This role requires close collaboration with multiple teams including Product, Engineering, Operations, Compliance, Sales, and Client Services to ensure the successful execution of key projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for defining product roadmaps, managing cross-functional dependencies, and overseeing the launch of innovative AI-driven workflows, APIs, and data solutions. The Senior Technical Product Manager will play a pivotal role in translating business needs into technical specifications, coordinating efforts across teams, and ensuring that projects meet their objectives on time and within scope. What you'll do Collaborate with the Director of Product and other senior leaders to develop comprehensive product roadmaps that align with company goals and strategic initiatives.
Draft detailed product specifications, including defining clear acceptance criteria, to guide engineering teams in feature development and implementation.
Work closely with engineering to estimate effort, prioritize features, and ensure timely delivery of product components.
Assess and prioritize projects based on their potential business impact, customer requirements, technical complexity, and resource constraints.
Translate high-level business needs into actionable project plans, including setting milestones, defining deliverables, and establishing success metrics.
Monitor progress against the roadmap, ensuring that all teams are aligned and that dependencies are managed effectively.
Define project scope, operational readiness criteria, and launch strategies to ensure smooth deployment and adoption of new products and features.
Oversee the execution of multiple concurrent programs related to AI workflows, data products, APIs, and platform enhancements.
Maintain detailed project timelines, identify risks early,
and develop mitigation strategies to address potential blockers.
Facilitate communication among cross-functional teams to resolve issues promptly and keep projects on track.
Coordinate with engineering, operations, and business stakeholders throughout the development lifecycle to ensure requirements are met and quality standards are maintained.
Establish scalable processes and best practices for managing AI products, APIs, and data platform initiatives, ensuring long-term sustainability.
Act as a key liaison between technical teams and business units, translating technical concepts into understandable language for non-technical stakeholders.
Prepare and present regular status updates, executive summaries, and detailed reports on program progress, risks, and upcoming milestones.
Organize and lead meetings to review project status, gather feedback, and align priorities across teams.
Collaborate with external partners and vendors to ensure project requirements are met and that external deliverables align with internal standards.
Support the onboarding of new team members and assist in training related to product management processes and tools.
Requirements Minimum of 5 years of experience in product management, with a focus on technical, data-driven, or AI-related products.
Proven track record of managing complex projects involving multiple stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
Strong understanding of AI technologies, data products, and APIs, with the ability to translate business needs into technical specifications.
Excellent communication skills, capable of engaging effectively with technical teams, business leaders, and external partners.
Experience working within Agile methodologies and familiarity with project management tools such as Jira or Asana.
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Engineering, or Business; a Master's degree is a plus.
Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously,
and adapt to changing requirements.
Strong organizational skills, with attention to detail and a focus on delivering high-quality results.
Ability to analyze complex problems, develop solutions, and communicate them clearly to diverse audiences.
Experience in managing product lifecycle from conception through launch and iteration.
Nice to have Familiarity with compliance and regulatory standards relevant to data management and AI applications.
Prior experience working in startup environments or fast-paced, innovative companies.
Knowledge of data analytics tools, data governance, and security best practices.
Experience working with cloud platforms and APIs in a production environment.
Understanding of ITAR regulations and other compliance standards related to sensitive data.
Skills & tools Proficiency in project management software such as Jira, Asana, or similar tools.
Familiarity with data analytics and visualization tools, as well as methodologies for data-driven decision-making.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to synthesize complex information into actionable insights.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare explicit documentation and presentations.
Ability to work collaboratively across teams and influence stakeholders at all levels.
Technical understanding of APIs, data workflows, and AI model integration is advantageous but not mandatory.
