What you'll do Provide technical support to staff and users, addressing hardware and software issues in a timely manner.
Monitor and maintain the performance of computer systems, ensuring optimal functionality across all platforms.
Assist in the installation, configuration, and upgrading of computer systems and applications, ensuring compliance with company standards.
Collaborate with the IT team to develop and implement effective IT policies and procedures that enhance security and efficiency.
Conduct regular system backups and recovery procedures to safeguard company data and maintain business continuity.
Troubleshoot network issues, including connectivity problems and performance bottlenecks, to ensure seamless communication across the organization.
Document technical processes and maintain accurate records of system configurations, updates, and repairs for future reference.
Participate in IT projects, providing insights and technical expertise to support the successful completion of initiatives that align with business goals.
Train employees on the use of new software and hardware,



ensuring they are equipped to utilize technology effectively in their roles.
Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies, recommending improvements that could benefit the organization.
Assist in managing vendor relationships, ensuring that service agreements are met and that the organization receives the best value for IT services.
Provide support for remote work setups, ensuring that employees have the necessary tools and access to perform their duties from various locations.
Requirements A diploma or degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
A minimum of 3 years of experience in an IT support role, preferably in a corporate environment.
Strong knowledge of operating systems, including Windows, macOS, and Linux.
Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware and software issues, with a solid understanding of network protocols and configurations.
Experience with virtualization technologies, such as VMware or Hyper‑V, is an asset.
Familiarity with cybersecurity best practices and experience implementing security measures to protect sensitive information.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey technical information to non‑technical users.




Strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
A commitment to continuous learning and professional development in the field of information technology.
Nice to have Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE) would be advantageous.
Experience with cloud services, including AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell) to automate tasks and improve efficiency.
Familiarity with ITIL framework or other IT service management methodologies.
Previous experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment is a plus.
Skills & tools Helpdesk software for ticket management and issue tracking.
Remote desktop applications for providing support to users.
Network monitoring tools to ensure system performance and security.
Backup and recovery solutions to protect company data.
Collaboration tools such as Microsoft Teams or Slack for effective communication with team members.
Practical notes This position is based in Dorval, Quebec, and offers a competitive salary commensurate with experience. Candidates must be eligible to work in Canada and may require a valid work visa depending on their residency status. The work schedule may include occasional after-hours support or on‑call duties to address urgent IT issues.
