About the role DoorDash Canada is seeking a Senior Associate to join our Sales Compliance team, focusing on the critical management and enhancement of revenue-related SOX controls. This role is vital in ensuring that all commission adjustments and merchant pricing agreements are accurately documented, correctly configured in our systems, and applied properly to charges. The ideal candidate will play a key role in maintaining compliance and supporting the integrity of our financial operations.

What you'll do Implement essential SOX revenue controls on a monthly basis to ensure compliance.
Supervise the reconciliation process from contracts to actual system charges, ensuring accuracy at every step.
Assess compliance related to changes in commission rates and the onboarding of new merchants.
Investigate any discrepancies that arise, evaluate potential risks, and initiate corrective measures as necessary.
Maintain thorough documentation that supports the execution of controls for audit purposes.
Collaborate with the Engineering team to enhance and develop data views for reconciliation processes.
Identify weaknesses in existing controls and propose improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
Present findings and results from control assessments to the Finance and Internal Audit departments to ensure transparency and accountability.
Requirements At least 3 years of experience in external audit, internal audit, or SOX compliance, ideally with a Big 4 firm.
Proven experience in testing or managing revenue-related controls is essential.
Strong comprehension of revenue recognition principles and order-to-cash workflows.
Proficiency in Excel, with the ability to manage and analyze large datasets effectively.
Basic familiarity with SQL or experience collaborating with data teams is preferred.




A meticulous eye for detail and a strong passion for resolving discrepancies in data.
Comfortable with managing recurring controls and engaging directly with auditors during assessments.
Highly organized and process-oriented, thriving in a structured and methodical work environment.
Nice to have Experience with financial reporting and analysis.
Familiarity with compliance software or tools used in revenue management.
Previous experience in a fast-paced tech or startup environment.
Knowledge of industry regulations and best practices related to sales compliance.
Skills & tools Advanced Excel skills for data manipulation and analysis.
Basic SQL knowledge for querying databases and extracting relevant data.
Practical notes This position is open to candidates who may require visa sponsorship.

The base salary for this position ranges from $96,000 to $120,000 CAD, depending on the candidate's experience and specific location.
