Make an impact with our Assurance & Accounting team as a Senior Accountant. Responsibilities
Perform compilation, review, and audit engagements; provide bookkeeping and tax services.
Prepare files for new clients and newly incorporated businesses; manage multiple engagements simultaneously and conduct inventory counts.
Perform walkthrough testing of accounts receivable, accounts payable, capital asset acquisitions and disposals, and payroll processes with clients.
Summarize the client’s current financial position by gathering information and preparing the balance sheet, income statement, and other relevant reports.
Evaluate and ensure the appropriateness of audit evidence supporting expenses, revenues, capital asset acquisitions, accounts payable,



accounts receivable, and prepaid expenses.
Review and correct discrepancies and irregularities in financial records, documents, and reports.
Develop charts of accounts and prepare journal entries for inclusion in the accounts.
Prepare correspondence, technical reports, client summaries, and presentations outlining engagement findings, facts, and key highlights.
Build effective working relationships with clients; mentor and guide less experienced team members.
Participate in business development initiatives and identify new business opportunities.
Be willing to travel as required.
Skills and Experience
2 to 4 years of relevant public accounting experience.
Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP),
Experience with accounting and tax software.
Understanding of business, accounting, management, and business development principles.
