What you'll do Conduct in-depth financial analysis to assess business performance and identify trends that impact revenue and expenses.
Prepare detailed financial reports and forecasts, providing actionable insights to senior management and stakeholders.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop budgets and financial plans that align with Lyft's strategic objectives.
Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide regular updates on financial health and operational efficiency.
Support the financial modeling process for new initiatives, including pricing strategies and market expansion opportunities.
Assist in the preparation of quarterly and annual financial statements, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations.




Evaluate investment opportunities and provide recommendations based on thorough financial analysis and risk assessment.
Participate in ad-hoc financial projects, contributing to the continuous improvement of financial processes and systems.
Develop and maintain financial dashboards and tools to facilitate real-time data analysis and reporting.
Mentor junior analysts, providing guidance and support in their professional development.
Engage with external auditors during the annual audit process, ensuring all financial records are accurate and complete.
Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in financial analysis to enhance the effectiveness of the finance team.
Requirements Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; a Master's degree or professional certification (CFA, CPA) is a plus.
A minimum of 5 years of experience in financial analysis or a related role, preferably within a fast-paced technology or transportation environment.
Strong proficiency in financial modeling and forecasting techniques, with a solid understanding of financial statements.
Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and present findings clearly to stakeholders.




Proficient in using financial software and tools, including advanced Excel skills; experience with SQL or data visualization tools is advantageous.
Robust communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
Detail-oriented with solid organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Proven ability to work independently and take initiative in a fast-paced environment.
Familiarity with financial regulations and compliance standards relevant to the industry.
Nice to have Experience in the ride-sharing or transportation industry, providing a unique perspective on market dynamics.
Knowledge of data analysis tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms.
Previous experience working in a high-growth startup environment, demonstrating adaptability and resilience.
