About the role Relay is seeking a specialist to manage our People operations while architecting the technical infrastructure to automate manual tasks. You will serve as the primary owner for our internal systems, focusing on eliminating operational friction through smart process design and AI integration.

What you'll do Manage daily People operations, including onboarding, offboarding, system administration, and employee data maintenance.
Maintain accurate People metrics and build self-serve dashboards to support executive reporting and board materials.
Map end-to-end processes for benefits, performance cycles, and employee lifecycle changes to identify automation opportunities.
Oversee the People tech stack, managing vendor relationships, integrations, and system configurations.
Implement AI-driven workflows to reduce manual reporting and automate recurring administrative tasks.
Document system configurations and process decisions in Notion.




Requirements 2-4 years of hands-on experience managing and improving operational systems and tooling.
Proven ability to build and ship automations that improve team efficiency.
Strong data proficiency, including the ability to clean, model, and present insights independently.
Experience with system configuration and integration management.
Ability to balance high-volume operational coordination with long-term infrastructure projects.
Nice to have Experience working with HRIS, ATS, and employee experience platforms.
Familiarity with AI tools for workflow optimization.
Skills & tools Current stack: Rippling, Gusto, Ashby, CultureAmp, Notion, Google Suite, Claude, ChatGPT, Jira.
Proficiency in workflow automation, process mapping, and data analysis.
