What you'll do Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for various applications, ensuring comprehensive coverage of functional and non-functional requirements.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand product specifications and translate them into effective test cases.
Execute automated tests and analyze results to identify defects, performance issues, and areas for improvement.
Participate in code reviews and provide feedback on testability and quality aspects of the code.
Develop and maintain testing frameworks and tools to streamline the automation process.
Monitor and report on testing progress, providing updates to stakeholders on quality metrics and test results.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to test environments and test data.
Stay up to date with industry best practices in QA automation and continuously seek opportunities for process improvements.
Mentor junior QA engineers in automation practices and testing methodologies.
Contribute to the development of a quality-first culture within the organization by advocating for best practices in testing and quality assurance.
Participate in sprint planning and retrospective meetings to provide insights on testing efforts and quality concerns.
Document testing processes, test cases, and results to ensure transparency and knowledge sharing within the team.
Requirements Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
A minimum of 3 years of experience in QA automation testing.
Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or C#.
Hands-on experience with automation testing tools like Selenium, Cypress, or similar frameworks.
Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies.
Familiarity with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) practices.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Nice to have Experience with performance testing tools such as JMeter or LoadRunner.
Knowledge of API testing and tools like Postman or SoapUI.
Familiarity with cloud services and infrastructure, particularly AWS or Azure.
Understanding of security testing practices and tools.
Previous experience in a startup or fast-growing company workplace.
