What you'll do Supervise and manage the finance team, providing guidance and support to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with accounting standards.
Oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring timely and accurate reporting to senior management.
Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to enhance operational efficiency and maintain compliance with regulatory requirements.
Conduct financial analysis and forecasting to support strategic decision-making, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
Collaborate with various departments to prepare budgets and monitor financial performance against established targets.
Ensure the integrity of financial data by implementing robust internal controls and conducting regular audits.




Manage cash flow and working capital, optimizing the organization's financial resources to support growth initiatives.
Liaise with external auditors and regulatory bodies, facilitating audits and ensuring compliance with all financial regulations.
Provide training and mentorship to finance staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and career development.
Prepare detailed reports and presentations for senior management, highlighting key financial metrics and insights.
Assist in the development of long-term financial strategies, aligning financial goals with the overall objectives of the organization.
Stay updated on industry trends and changes in financial regulations, ensuring the organization remains compliant and competitive.
Requirements Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; a Master's degree or professional certification (CPA, CMA, etc.) is preferred.
A minimum of 5 years of experience in finance or accounting, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
Strong knowledge of financial reporting standards and regulations, including GAAP and IFRS.
Proficient in financial software and tools, with advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and experience with ERP systems.




Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization.
Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in financial reporting and analysis.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling is essential.
Nice to have Experience in the non-profit or public sector finance is a plus.
Familiarity with financial regulations specific to the Ottawa region or Canada.
Knowledge of project management principles and practices.
Previous experience with financial audits and working with external auditors.
Bilingualism in English and French is an asset.
