Product Manager (Contract) at Statflo. About the role Statflo is seeking a dynamic and experienced Product Manager on a contract basis to join our team in Toronto, Ontario. In this role, you will be responsible for driving the development and enhancement of our innovative communication solutions. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, marketing, and sales, to ensure that our products meet the needs of our customers and align with our strategic goals. What you'll do - Collaborate with stakeholders to define product vision, strategy, and roadmap, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify trends and opportunities for product enhancement and innovation.
- Gather and prioritize product requirements from customers, sales, and other stakeholders to inform product development.
- Work closely with engineering teams to translate product requirements into actionable tasks and ensure timely delivery of features.
- Develop and maintain product documentation, including user stories, acceptance criteria, and product specifications.
- Monitor product performance metrics and user feedback to identify areas for improvement and inform future product iterations.
- Facilitate product demonstrations and training sessions for internal teams and customers to ensure understanding and adoption of new features.
- Act as the primary point of contact for product-related inquiries and provide support to sales and customer success teams.
- Collaborate with marketing to develop go-to-market strategies and promotional materials for product launches.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives, to ensure continuous improvement in product development processes.
- Foster a culture of collaboration and innovation within the product team, encouraging creative problem-solving and idea generation.
- Stay informed about industry trends and emerging technologies to ensure Statflo remains competitive in the market.
Requirements - Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, or a related field; MBA is a plus.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in product management, preferably in the technology or telecommunications sector.
- Proven track record of successfully launching and managing software products throughout their lifecycle.
- Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and experience working in Agile environments.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills,
with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
- Experience with product management tools, such as JIRA, Trello, or similar platforms.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Robust problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to overcoming challenges.
Nice to have - Familiarity with telecommunications industry standards and practices.
- Experience with user experience (UX) design principles and methodologies.
- Knowledge of data analytics tools and techniques to measure product performance.
- Previous experience in a startup environment or working with cross-functional teams.
- Understanding of customer relationship management (CRM) systems and their integration with product offerings.
Skills & tools - Proficient in product management software (e.g., JIRA, Confluence, Aha!).
- Strong knowledge of wireframing and prototyping tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch, InVision).
- Familiarity with data analysis tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Tableau) for performance tracking.
- Excellent presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
