About the role As a Lead IT Systems Engineer at Intouchinsight, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and maintaining the infrastructure that supports our creative solutions. What you'll do Design, implement, and maintain IT infrastructure solutions that meet the evolving needs of the organization and its clients.
Lead a team of IT professionals, providing mentorship and guidance to foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
Collaborate with software development teams to ensure seamless integration of applications with IT systems, enhancing overall functionality and user experience.
Monitor system performance and reliability, proactively identifying and resolving issues to minimize downtime and optimize resource utilization.
Develop and enforce IT policies and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices.
Manage and oversee the deployment of new technologies, ensuring that they align with business objectives and enhance operational efficiency.
Conduct regular assessments of system security,



implementing necessary measures to protect sensitive data and maintain compliance with regulatory requirements.
Prepare and manage budgets for IT infrastructure projects, ensuring that resources are allocated effectively and within financial constraints.
Facilitate training sessions for staff to enhance their understanding of IT systems and promote best practices in technology usage.
Act as a point of contact for escalated technical issues, providing expert guidance and support to resolve complex challenges.
Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends, evaluating their potential impact on the organization and recommending strategic initiatives.
Collaborate with external vendors and service providers to ensure that IT services and solutions meet organizational needs and performance expectations.
Requirements A minimum of 5 years of experience in IT systems engineering, with a strong focus on infrastructure design and management.
Proven leadership experience, with the ability to motivate and guide a team of IT professionals.
In‑depth knowledge of network architecture, server management, and cloud computing technologies.
Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and practices, with experience in implementing security measures.




Proficiency in scripting and automation tools to streamline processes and enhance system performance.
Familiarity with IT service management frameworks, such as ITIL, and experience in applying best practices in service delivery.
Nice to have Experience with DevOps practices and tools, facilitating collaboration between development and operations teams.
Knowledge of database management systems and data analytics tools to support data‑driven decision‑making.
Familiarity with compliance standards such as GDPR, HIPAA, or PCI‑DSS, and experience in ensuring organizational adherence.
Skills & tools Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make informed decisions.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively convey technical information to non‑technical stakeholders.
Proficiency in project management methodologies, with experience in leading IT projects from conception to completion.
Familiarity with virtualization technologies and containerization tools, such as VMware or Docker.
Experience with monitoring and logging tools to track system performance and identify areas for improvement.
Practical notes This position is based in Kanata, Ontario, and may require occasional travel to client sites or other company locations.
