What you’ll do Develop and maintain strategic partnerships with a portfolio of small to medium-sized restaurant partners, focusing on driving growth, improving retention, and enhancing overall merchant satisfaction.
Conduct detailed business reviews with merchants to understand their current performance, identify opportunities for expansion, and formulate large-scale growth strategies tailored to each partner’s unique needs.
Proactively adjust account strategies based on evolving merchant requirements, market conditions, and performance metrics to ensure continuous improvement and success.
Identify potential risks or challenges early by analyzing merchant data and market trends, then implement proactive solutions to mitigate issues and safeguard merchant performance.
Promote and recommend DoorDash products and services that can help merchants expand their business, improve operational efficiency, and increase revenue streams.
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams such as Product, Operations, and Sales to align merchant needs with company initiatives, ensuring seamless execution of strategies and initiatives.
Act as a voice for merchants within the organization by providing insights, feedback, and data that inform product development, marketing strategies, and operational improvements.
Share best practices with team members, contribute to team development, and participate in training sessions to enhance negotiation and account management skills.
Maintain a deep understanding of the restaurant and hospitality sectors, including financial metrics, unit economics,



and industry trends, to better serve merchant partners.
Utilize advanced analytical tools and platforms such as Salesforce, Outreach, Tableau, and Sigma to manage complex data, generate insights, and track performance metrics effectively.
Prepare detailed reports and presentations to communicate progress, challenges, and opportunities to internal stakeholders and merchant partners.
Stay informed about competitive landscape, third-party delivery services, logistics, and multi-sided marketplaces to provide strategic insights and recommendations to merchants.
Support the onboarding of recent merchant partners, ensuring they understand DoorDash offerings and are set up for success from the start.
Engage in regular field visits and face-to-face meetings with merchants to build trust, gather feedback, and identify new opportunities for collaboration.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of account management processes, tools, and strategies to enhance team efficiency and effectiveness.
Requirements Minimum of 4 years of experience in account management, customer success, or a related role with increasing responsibilities.
Proven success in driving measurable growth and retention across a diverse range of clients or partners, preferably within the restaurant, hospitality, or related sectors.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders, deliver impactful presentations, and build strong relationships.
Deep understanding of the restaurant and hospitality industries, including familiarity with financial metrics, unit economics, and operational challenges faced by merchants.
Strong analytical skills, with proficiency in managing complex spreadsheets and utilizing tools such as Salesforce, Outreach, Tableau, or Sigma to interpret data and generate actionable insights.
Ability to translate data and market trends into strategic recommendations for merchant partners.
Experience working with third-party delivery services, logistics, or multi-sided marketplaces is highly desirable.
Demonstrated ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to identifying issues and implementing solutions.




Familiarity with the Canadian market and working knowledge of local business practices is preferred.
Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work effectively with cross-functional teams to meet shared goals.
Knowledge of relevant compliance standards, including any applicable regulations related to food delivery or merchant operations, is a plus.
Nice to have Previous experience in the technology or logistics sectors, providing a broader understanding of supply chain and delivery ecosystems.
Familiarity with data visualization tools beyond Tableau, such as Power BI or Looker, to enhance reporting capabilities.
Multilingual skills, especially in languages spoken within Toronto’s diverse community, to facilitate better communication with a broad merchant base.
Experience working in a fast-growth environment, demonstrating agility and adaptability in a rapidly changing landscape.
Knowledge of ITAR regulations or experience working with international or regulated markets, which could be beneficial for certain merchant segments.
Skills & tools Proficiency in Salesforce, Outreach, Tableau, Sigma, and advanced spreadsheet management.
Strong analytical capabilities and experience managing complex data sets.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Familiarity with CRM and data visualization platforms to track performance and generate insights.
Practical notes This role is based in Toronto, ON, and requires on-site presence; candidates must be able to work in this location.
The salary range for this position is from $83,200 to $104,000 CAD annually.
Total on-target earnings, including commissions, range from $104,000 to $130,000 CAD.
