What you'll do Develop backend infrastructure for features that support Pinterest users.
Manage the full product lifecycle from initial design and prototyping to implementation and release.
Run A/B tests and architect solutions capable of supporting millions of users.
Collaborate with product, design, and engineering teams to deliver end-to-end functionality.
Implement automated testing to ensure high technical standards for all developed components.
Design and operate large-scale distributed systems and networks.
Utilize AI tools to streamline documentation, prototyping, code drafting, and repetitive tasks.
Improve developer workflows and operational efficiency.
Requirements 2+ years of professional backend development experience on consumer or business products.
Proficiency in backend tech stacks including RESTful APIs, caching, storage,



and data processing.
Experience building and maintaining large-scale distributed systems or networks.
Fluency in Python, Java, C++, or Go, with a commitment to learning new languages.
Bachelor degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Demonstrated ability to use AI for workflow optimization while maintaining accountability for final deliverables.
Strong track record of verifying AI-assisted work through testing and peer review.
Nice to have Experience deploying and operating large-scale workloads within a public cloud setting.
