What you'll do Lead and manage the wholesale parts department, ensuring that all operations align with company goals and standards.
Develop and implement effective sales strategies to increase wholesale parts revenue and market share.
Oversee inventory management, including ordering, stocking, and tracking parts to ensure optimal availability and minimize excess.
Build and maintain strong relationships with wholesale customers, addressing their needs and ensuring high levels of satisfaction.
Collaborate with the service department to ensure timely and accurate parts delivery for repairs and maintenance.
Analyze sales data and market trends to identify opportunities for growth and improvement in the wholesale parts sector.
Train and mentor team members,
fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
Manage pricing strategies and negotiate contracts with suppliers to ensure competitive pricing and quality parts.
Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to sales, inventory turnover, and customer satisfaction.
Ensure compliance with all safety and regulatory standards in the handling and storage of automotive parts.
Coordinate with the marketing team to promote wholesale parts offerings and enhance brand visibility in the market.
Participate in industry events and trade shows to network and promote 401auto's wholesale parts division.
Requirements A minimum of 5 years of experience in automotive parts management or a related field.
Proven track record of successfully managing a team and achieving sales targets.
Strong understanding of inventory management principles and practices.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and team members.
Proficient in using inventory management software and other relevant tools.
Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret sales data and market trends.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
Knowledge of automotive parts and their applications is highly desirable.
Nice to have Experience in a wholesale or distribution environment within the automotive industry.
Familiarity with CRM systems and digital marketing strategies.
Previous experience in a leadership role, with a focus on team development and performance management.
Certification in automotive management or a related field.
Bilingualism (English and French) is an asset.
Skills & tools Strong leadership and team management skills.
Excellent customer service orientation and relationship-building capabilities.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and inventory management systems.
Ability to analyze data and generate actionable insights.
Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
Practical notes This position is based in Kitchener, Ontario, and candidates must be able to work on-site.
The role may require occasional travel to meet with suppliers or attend industry events.
