What you'll do Design and improve MaintainX's shared quality platform, focusing on building robust test automation frameworks and essential developer tools.
Develop AI-assisted systems for test authoring that simplify the process of creating tests while maintaining high standards of quality.
Set up continuous integration (CI) integration standards to improve build reliability and streamline workflows for engineering teams.
Create test harnesses tailored for AI-driven product features, ensuring comprehensive health checks, effective degradation management, quota monitoring, and adversarial testing strategies.
Proactively identify and resolve systemic testing issues, including flaky tests, to minimize disruptions for engineering teams.
Develop and promote shared testing utilities and frameworks that gain widespread adoption across the engineering organization.
Collaborate closely with Quality Advocates, product engineering teams, and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE)



to refine testing strategies and bolster platform reliability.
Evaluate and advocate for recent AI testing tools, promoting their integration to enhance engineering performance significantly.
Requirements Demonstrated experience in creating and maintaining production-level test automation frameworks, utilizing tools such as Playwright, Selenium, or comparable technologies.
Solid background in software engineering, with proficiency in writing, debugging, and maintaining production application code.
Familiarity with the integration of automated testing into CI/CD pipelines and the ability to troubleshoot flaky or failing test suites effectively.
Experience in developing or managing shared developer tools, testing infrastructure, or engineering platforms that support multiple teams.
Proficient in leveraging AI development tools like Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, or Cursor to optimize engineering workflows while exercising sound judgment.
Capability to oversee systems from architectural design through implementation and into production support.
Experience in mentoring fellow engineers and contributing to the enhancement of engineering quality across various teams.
Strong command of the English language, both written and spoken,



to facilitate effective communication with platform engineering managers and executive stakeholders.
Nice to have Experience in developing test harnesses for AI-driven features, including health checks, circuit-breakers, and resilience testing methodologies.
Background in building or maintaining autonomous or agentic AI systems that enhance engineering capabilities.
Familiarity with evaluating AI-powered developer tools and their integration into existing engineering processes.
Knowledge of how to incorporate observability and quality metrics into testing platforms to improve overall performance.
Experience with large-scale developer platforms that cater to multiple engineering teams, enhancing collaboration and efficiency.
Skills & tools Proficient in test automation frameworks and tools, including but not limited to Playwright and Selenium.
Familiar with CI/CD practices and tools to ensure seamless integration of testing processes.
Knowledgeable in AI development tools that can assist in enhancing engineering workflows.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and address testing issues effectively.
Excellent communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
