We are currently in search of an Applied AI Intern to join our People Operations and People Programs team. This role is focused on revolutionizing work processes within the organization. The People Operations team is moving away from manual processes, disconnected systems, and reactive support models. Our goal is to automate tasks wherever possible, redesign processes as needed, and create a more structured and scalable operational framework utilizing AI, workflows, and system design. You will be instrumental in pinpointing inefficiencies in existing workflows and crafting solutions to mitigate them. This includes automating repetitive tasks, designing new support frameworks, and establishing systems that improve the team's efficiency and consistency. This internship is not strictly defined; you will need to clarify ambiguous challenges and propel solutions forward. The position involves a mix of technical execution, operational insights, and an understanding of effective teamwork. The minimum commitment for this role is 12 months.

What you'll do Develop the essential infrastructure that connects our systems and supports team operations.
Design and implement automation across various systems and workflows, translating operational requirements into structured, buildable systems.
Create internal HR tools aimed at improving employee experience and operational effectiveness.
Aid in defining and establishing a recent support model that reduces manual tasks and addresses fragmented processes.
Participate in redefining team operations by introducing innovative workflows powered by AI and automation.
Identify and analyze current inefficiencies in workflows, proposing actionable solutions.
Collaborate with team members to gather insights and feedback on existing processes and potential improvements.
Document processes and workflows to ensure clarity and consistency across the team.
Requirements Demonstrated experience in designing, building, and refining end-to-end workflows across multiple systems, with a focus on automation to minimize manual tasks and improve consistency.
Familiarity with integrating tools using APIs, webhooks, or similar integration methods.
Ability to convert operational challenges into technical solutions and functional prototypes.
Proficiency in navigating various tools and selecting the most effective approach for different challenges.
Strong focus on execution with a rapid learning capability for new systems and their practical applications.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically about operational processes.
Nice to have Experience with AI and automation technologies.
Background in system design and workflow optimization.
Understanding of HR processes and internal product development.
Previous internship or project experience in a related field.

Practical notes Interns at Tenstorrent can expect compensation ranging from $38 to $43 per hour, which encompasses both base and variable pay. The actual offer will depend on factors such as experience, skills, education, background, and location.
