Position Summary
BCIT’s School Of Health Sciences is seeking a temporary, part-time (0.6 FTE ) Faculty in the Magnetic Resonance Imaging ( MRI ) Diploma program. This position will involve teaching in both online and face‑to‑face learning environments and will be an integral part of the MRI team. Instructors will be responsible for course preparation, development, delivery, evaluation, and facilitation of learning as well as the coordination of learning activities.
Duties & Responsibilities
Responsible for course preparation, development, delivery, evaluation, and facilitation of learning.
Coordination of learning activities.
Working with students in theory and practical labs.
Provide students with feedback in theory and practical labs.
Assess students in theory and practical labs.
Supporting the Clinical Coordinator and students in the clinical environment.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS :
Education:
Diploma or Advanced Certificate in Magnetic Resonance Imaging.
Experience:
Five years of current, relevant experience in a broad range of MRI procedures.
An AC, baccalaureate science degree or graduate degree, would be considered an additional asset.
Current registration with CAMRT in MRI .
Evidence of continuing education in the field.
Evidence of previous teaching experience.
Team player committed to a collaborative approach to education and training, as well as the ability to work independently when required.
Flexibility in teaching workload and subject matter.
Software/Computer Application(s) and Expertise:
Communication/ Interpersonal Skills:
Strong interpersonal skills to work with students and other members of the team. Problem solving skills are an asset.
Strong computer proficiency skills as all didactic courses are online and take place in the Learning Hub
Other Skills/Abilities:
Work in fast paced environment.
Ability to work independently and within a team.
Previous exam creation or exam validation experience is an asset.
Ability to develop and implement conceptual and innovative practices.

Salary Range
Salary Range Salary range: $69,006 - $120,460 per annum.
Additional Salary Information
Salary prorated based on percentage and term of appointment. Salary based on education, experience and placement criteria as outlined in the Collective Agreement.
