Applicants should have a strong interest in developing an acute care hospital practice and working collaboratively with all members of the inter‐professional team, including Medical and Allied Health staff.Primary responsibilities include admission and management of acute medical patients as the Most Responsible Physician (MRP). This job requires superior clinical and communication skills, along with exceptional bedside manner. Our team members must demonstrate a commitment to the evolving specialty of hospital medicine. Experience at Delta Hospital is an asset, but not necessary.The Hospitalist program at Delta Hospital provides 24‐hr coverage, 10 hour daytime shifts, 8 hour evening admission shift and 9 hour rotating overnight call shifts. The average patient census is 58, with four hospitalists covering each day and one during the evening hours. The overnight call is a virtual line from home.
