Senior Global Vendor Specialist at pebl. About the role Pebl is on the hunt for an experienced Senior Global Vendor Specialist who will take ownership of the company's vast international payroll partner ecosystem spanning 126 countries worldwide. This strategic position involves overseeing every aspect of vendor relationships from initial sourcing through ongoing governance and operational performance monitoring. You will play a crucial role in ensuring that the global platform maintains full compliance with local regulations while operating at peak efficiency. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in managing complex international partnerships and thrives in a dynamic environment where no two days look the same. This role offers the opportunity to shape how Pebl engages with its worldwide network of service providers and directly impact the company's global expansion capabilities.
Key facts Location: Toronto, Ontario (Hybrid work arrangement)
Engagement: Full-time permanent position
Compensation: CA$90,000 to CA$120,000 annually
Team: Network Team, reporting directly to the Director of Payroll Operations, Network and Expense
What you'll do Lead comprehensive Request for Proposal processes to identify, evaluate, and successfully onboard new service partners across diverse international markets with varying regulatory requirements and business practices.
Spearhead the reactivation of dormant or inactive partnerships by conducting thorough due diligence reviews, reassessing partner capabilities, and updating contractual arrangements to reflect current business needs.
Drive contract negotiations encompassing Master Service Agreements, Statements of Work, and Service Level Agreements while maintaining close coordination with the internal legal department to protect company interests.
Design, implement, and rigorously enforce governance frameworks that standardize how the organization engages with its extensive network of In-Country Partners and Managed Service Providers across all regions.
Serve as the central point of contact bridging internal departments and external partners, facilitating communication and driving swift resolution of operational challenges as they arise.




Monitor Service Level Agreement compliance metrics continuously and champion initiatives aimed at enhancing sourcing efficiency and strengthening governance workflows throughout the partner lifecycle.
Curate and maintain the comprehensive internal partner knowledge base, ensuring all documentation remains current, accurate, and readily accessible to relevant stakeholders across the organization.
Develop and implement partner performance scorecards to objectively assess vendor quality and identify opportunities for improvement or potential partnership termination.
Collaborate with regional teams to understand local market nuances and incorporate these insights into partner selection and management strategies.
Identify emerging markets where Pebl should establish new partnerships and create business cases for expanding the partner network into these territories.
Conduct regular partner business reviews to strengthen relationships, address concerns proactively, and explore opportunities for deeper collaboration.
Support cross-functional projects related to global payroll operations, contributing vendor management expertise to broader organizational initiatives.
Requirements A minimum of five years of hands‑on skilled experience in vendor operations or global partner management, with specific background in an Employer of Record, Professional Employer Organization, or multinational corporate environment.
Demonstrated history of successfully orchestrating Request for Proposal processes from start to finish and negotiating sophisticated vendor agreements with favorable terms.
Proven capability to juggle multiple partner relationships simultaneously across different legal jurisdictions, time zones, and regulatory environments without compromising quality or attention to detail.
Exceptional communication abilities that enable effective representation of company interests when engaging with partners from diverse cultural backgrounds and business traditions.




Superior organizational skills with the capacity to manage complex pipelines, maintain governance structures, and keep multiple workstreams progressing in parallel.
Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret partner performance data and translate findings into actionable improvement strategies.
Nice to have Prior hands‑on experience utilizing Airtable, NetSuite, or specialized partner relationship management software platforms in a professional capacity.
Background in international payroll processing or familiarity with global employment compliance requirements across multiple jurisdictions.
Project management certification or formal training in structured project delivery methodologies.
Fluency in additional languages beyond English, particularly those relevant to key international markets.
Experience building partner management programs from the ground up or significantly scaling existing vendor networks.
