This role is vital in ensuring our systems operate efficiently, securely, and are prepared for future growth. The successful candidate will work closely with the IT Manager and Service Desk team to maintain system reliability, automate processes, and implement best practices across our infrastructure. The position involves managing core SaaS platforms, automating workflows, and supporting the security and governance of our cloud-based resources. This is an on-site role based in Calgary, Alberta, and requires a candidate with a strong background in SaaS management, scripting, and infrastructure automation. What you'll do Oversee the performance, availability, and reliability of critical SaaS platforms such as Okta and Jira, ensuring they are consistently available and well-integrated with other systems.
Serve as the primary IT contact for business process modifications, gathering detailed requirements from various teams and designing technical workflows to meet organizational needs.
Utilize Okta Workflows and API integrations to automate routine tasks, streamline user provisioning and deprovisioning, and reduce manual effort for the IT department and end-users.
Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles to configure, manage, and document SaaS environments, ensuring that changes are reproducible, auditable, and aligned with best practices.
Monitor system logs, support tickets, and performance metrics to identify infrastructure bottlenecks, security issues, or areas for improvement, and develop long-term solutions.
Collaborate with the Security team to uphold Zero Trust security principles, automate lifecycle management processes, and ensure governance of SaaS resources is maintained effectively.
Assist in evaluating new SaaS solutions,



conducting technical assessments, and maintaining strong vendor relationships to optimize the organization's technology investments.
Support the deployment of macOS devices at scale, leveraging tools like Kandji or Jamf to enable automated, zero-touch deployment and management of Apple devices.
Document workflows, configurations, and automation scripts thoroughly to facilitate knowledge sharing and ongoing maintenance.
Troubleshoot infrastructure-related issues promptly, working with internal teams or vendors to resolve outages or performance problems.
Participate in planning and executing infrastructure upgrades, patches, and security enhancements to keep systems current and protected.
Provide technical guidance and support to other IT team members and end-users as needed, fostering a collaborative setting focused on continuous improvement.
Requirements A degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience, with at least 5 to 7 years working in IT operations, systems administration, or a similar role.
Current or pursuing certifications related to hardware/software troubleshooting, such as A+ or Network+.
Extensive hands-on experience with Okta, especially in Lifecycle Management and Workflows, as well as Jira Service Management.
Strong understanding of enterprise IT environments, including DNS, SMTP, Firewalls/NAT, and Wi-Fi networks.
Proven scripting skills in languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell, with the ability to develop and maintain automation scripts and API integrations.
Experience managing macOS devices at scale, preferably using Kandji or Jamf, with a focus on automated deployment and management.
Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code principles, including tools like Terraform or similar,



and the ability to apply these principles to SaaS environments.
Ability to translate complex business requirements into effective technical workflows and automation solutions.
Excellent problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving infrastructure issues.
Strong communication skills, capable of working independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects, and adapt to changing organizational needs.
Nice to have Experience working with cloud platforms such as Amazon Web Services (AWS) or Microsoft Azure.
Familiarity with security frameworks, compliance standards, and best practices for SaaS environments.
Knowledge of additional SaaS tools and automation platforms that can enhance operational efficiency.
Prior experience working in a fast-paced, SaaS-focused organization with a focus on continuous improvement and innovation.
Understanding of data privacy regulations and how they impact SaaS management and automation.
