Acquisition Strategy Manager at FanDuel. About the role FanDuel is seeking an experienced Acquisition Strategy Manager to lead and develop growth initiatives for our Sportsbook and Casino products. In this role, you will be responsible for creating, implementing, and optimizing customer acquisition strategies that drive profitable growth across multiple regions. You will work closely with cross-functional teams including Marketing, Analytics, Product, Finance, and Retention to develop comprehensive plans that maximize customer engagement and lifetime value. Additionally, you will oversee promotional campaigns, analyze performance data, and identify new opportunities to expand our market presence. Mentoring and guiding an Acquisition Strategy Associate will be a key part of your responsibilities, ensuring the team's efforts align with overall business objectives and deliver measurable results.

What you'll do Lead the development and execution of acquisition strategies for all regions and products, ensuring alignment with company goals and market dynamics.
Manage the end-to-end process of promotional campaign planning, execution, and analysis, working in tandem with Marketing Operations to ensure timely and effective delivery of offers across different regions and product segments.
Collaborate with Retention teams to design and implement strategies that enhance customer loyalty, increase cross-sell opportunities, and improve overall customer lifetime value.
Develop player propositions, segmentation strategies, and KPIs to measure the success of sportsbook and casino cross-sell initiatives, ensuring targeted and personalized marketing efforts.
Identify key moments throughout the year, such as sporting events or seasonal peaks, and coordinate with relevant teams to maximize promotional impact and customer engagement during these periods.
Use customer data, research, and analytics to generate actionable insights that inform strategic decision-making and optimize marketing spend.
Work closely with Product teams to influence product development priorities, ensuring new features and enhancements support acquisition and cross-sell objectives.
Take ownership of the P&L;, focusing on activation targets, promotional expenditures,



and overall profitability of acquisition campaigns.
Monitor and report on campaign performance, providing regular updates to senior leadership and making data-driven recommendations for continuous improvement.
Lead and mentor an Acquisition Strategy Associate, guiding their prioritization of tasks, professional development, and execution of initiatives to ensure high-quality results.
Foster a culture of responsible gaming within FanDuel, ensuring all acquisition activities adhere to regulatory standards and promote ethical gaming practices.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify new market opportunities, develop innovative acquisition tactics, and stay ahead of industry trends.
Manage relationships with external partners or vendors involved in campaign execution, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and quality standards.
Develop comprehensive reports and presentations to communicate campaign results, insights, and strategic recommendations to stakeholders at all levels.
Support the overall marketing strategy by providing insights into customer behavior, competitive landscape, and emerging opportunities to enhance FanDuel's market position.
Requirements A minimum of 5 years of experience in consulting, finance, marketing, or a related commercial role, with a proven track record of leading growth initiatives.
A degree in commerce, marketing, business, or a quantitative discipline, with strong academic credentials.
Demonstrated experience managing teams and coaching team members to achieve their goals.
Proven ability to lead complex projects, coordinate cross-functional efforts, and deliver results in a quick-paced environment.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, generate insights, and translate findings into actionable strategies.
Experience working in B2C environments, with a solid understanding of consumer behavior and marketing tactics.
Excellent communication skills,



with the ability to present complex ideas clearly and persuasively to stakeholders at all levels.
A proactive, results-oriented mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and innovation.
Familiarity with the gaming or online betting industry is preferred but not required.
Ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment, building strong relationships across teams and functions.
Knowledge of regulatory standards related to responsible gaming and marketing compliance.
Nice to have Experience in team leadership and mentoring, with a demonstrated ability to develop talent and foster a high-performing team.
Knowledge of data analysis tools and platforms, such as SQL, Tableau, or similar analytics software.
Experience with digital marketing channels, including paid media, social media, and programmatic advertising.
Familiarity with the latest trends in online gaming, sports betting, and casino markets.
Ability to adapt quickly to changing market conditions and regulatory environments.
Skills & tools Strong data analysis and interpretation skills, with the ability to leverage insights to inform strategic decisions.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, capable of working effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
Proficiency in marketing strategy development, campaign management, and promotional planning.
Familiarity with customer segmentation, targeting, and personalization techniques.
Knowledge of industry-specific compliance standards and responsible gaming practices.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks effectively to meet deadlines.
Practical notes Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
The salary range for this role is CAD 97,000 to CAD 121,000, depending on experience, skills, and market conditions. Compensation may also include performance-based incentives.
Benefits offered include extended medical, dental, and vision coverage, life and disability insurance, and a retirement plan with employer contributions. Employees will receive 12 holidays plus two floating holidays, along with paid sick leave in accordance with Canadian law.
The role requires on-site presence in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, and does not support remote work arrangements.
