Position: R&D; Manager Reports to: Director, R&D;

We are looking for an R&D; Manager to join our Silver Hills R&D; team! We are looking for an experienced Research and Development Manager to manage our skilled team of R&D; Technologists and Bakers. You will work on innovative R&D; Projects that contribute to the long-term success of Silver Hills and our Gluten Free line.

In this role, you can apply your management skills to manage people and projects. You will support and keep the R&D; team motivated to create recent products and improve our current delicious, plant-based products! The challenge is to manage constraints and keep the team updated on the latest priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced food production environment.



You will have many opportunities to drive compelling R&D; projects and apply creativity and resourcefulness to achieve unique solutions. Being at the forefront of new product development, you will have many opportunities to contribute meaningfully, grow your knowledge base, and develop with the company!

You have a Degree or Diploma in Food Science,



Food Technology or related discipline

You have knowledge of the structure and chemistry of food and food production processes

You have proven success in formulation, process development, process improvement, and innovation

You have an understanding of food microbiology principles, typical spoilage organisms, and control strategies

You have database management skills and can formulate complex reports

You have knowledge of Food Safety Management Systems and Quality Management Systems

Experience

5 years+ R&D; experience in the food industry

3 years+ experience in managing or leading a team of employees in R&D; or Production

You have experience managing complex and strategic projects

Nice-to-Have

Diploma or certificate in Project Management

Experience in a bakery environment
