As the Engineering Manager for the New User Experience Consumer Growth team, you will lead a talented group of engineers responsible for developing and maintaining scalable systems that facilitate a smooth and engaging initial interaction for new users. You will work closely with product managers, data scientists, and other stakeholders to define technical strategies, prioritize features, and deliver impactful solutions that drive growth and user satisfaction. What you will do Lead and manage a diverse, full-stack engineering team that includes iOS, Android, web, and backend developers, ensuring effective collaboration and high-quality project delivery.
Collaborate with Product Managers, Data Scientists, and other cross-functional partners to develop and refine the team's roadmap, aligning technical efforts with business objectives and user needs.
Drive the technical vision for the onboarding experience, ensuring the development of scalable, reliable, and high-performance features that enhance the initial user journey.
Mentor and develop engineers within your team, fostering a culture of continuous learning, innovation, and high standards of engineering excellence.
Recruit, hire, and retain top engineering talent, building a diverse team capable of tackling complex challenges and adapting to evolving business requirements.
Prioritize product-driven development, leveraging data insights and user feedback to inform feature design and improve the onboarding process.
Implement best practices in software engineering, including code reviews, testing, deployment,



and documentation, to maintain high quality and operational efficiency.
Manage project timelines, deliverables, and stakeholder communication to ensure timely and successful product launches.
Work closely with product and business teams to gather non-technical requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions.

Stay informed about industry trends and emerging technologies that could enhance the onboarding experience or improve engineering practices within the team.

Requirements Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
A minimum of 7 years of relevant industry experience, with a proven track record of delivering scalable software solutions.
At least 2 years of experience in a management or leadership role, overseeing engineering teams and projects.
Demonstrated success in leading cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Strong understanding of full-stack development, including experience with mobile (iOS and Android), web technologies, and backend systems.
Ability to work effectively with non-technical stakeholders, translating business needs into technical requirements and solutions.
Experience building scalable, reliable, and high-performance products, especially in customer-facing applications.
Excellent leadership and mentorship skills, with a focus on developing talent and fostering a collaborative team culture.




Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to navigate ambiguity while maintaining focus on strategic goals.
Effective communication skills, capable of articulating complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
Knowledge of software engineering best practices, including agile methodologies, code reviews, testing, and deployment pipelines.
Experience working in regulated environments or familiarity with compliance standards is a plus.
Nice to have Experience in user experience design or customer engagement strategies.
Knowledge of data analytics, A/B testing, and data-driven decision-making processes.
Familiarity with ITAR regulations or working within regulated industries.
Previous experience working in a high-growth technology company or startup environment.
Exposure to international markets or working with diverse user bases.
Skills & tools Proficiency in full-stack development, including mobile (iOS, Android), web, and backend technologies.
Strong analytical skills with experience in interpreting data to inform product decisions.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration across teams and stakeholders.
Familiarity with software development tools, version control systems, and CI/CD pipelines.
Ability to lead technical discussions, review code, and ensure adherence to engineering standards.
Practical notes The salary for this role ranges from $185,000 to $231,500 CAD, depending on skills, experience, and location.
