About the role Nureva is seeking a dedicated and experienced Manager of People Services to join our dynamic team in Calgary, Alberta. Engagement: Full-time, managerial position
What you'll do Lead the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures that promote a positive work environment and align with Nureva's strategic objectives.
Oversee the recruitment process, ensuring that we attract and retain top talent while promoting diversity and inclusion within our workforce.
Manage employee onboarding and orientation programs to ensure new hires are effectively integrated into the company culture and equipped for success.
Collaborate with department heads to identify training and development needs, creating tailored programs to enhance employee skills and career growth.
Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to employees, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.
Address employee relations issues with sensitivity and professionalism, providing guidance and support to resolve conflicts and enhance workplace harmony.




Analyze HR metrics to assess the effectiveness of people services initiatives and make data-driven recommendations for improvement.
Stay current with labor laws and regulations, ensuring compliance and mitigating risks associated with HR practices.
Develop and manage the HR budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources to support people services initiatives.
Foster a culture of engagement through employee recognition programs and initiatives that promote work-life balance and well-being.
Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership on HR-related matters, contributing to strategic planning and organizational development.
Champion Nureva's core values and mission, ensuring they are reflected in all people services activities and initiatives.
Requirements Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; a Master's degree or HR certification (e.g., CHRP, SHRM-CP) is preferred.
A minimum of 5 years of experience in human resources management, with a focus on employee relations, talent acquisition, and performance management.
Proven experience in developing and implementing HR policies and programs that drive organizational effectiveness.
Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations in Canada, particularly in Alberta.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization.




Demonstrated ability to analyze HR metrics and use data to inform decision-making and strategy development.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle sensitive situations with discretion and professionalism.
Experience in managing HR budgets and resources effectively.
A proactive approach to employee engagement and a commitment to fostering a positive workplace culture.
Nice to have Experience in a technology or software development environment, understanding the unique challenges and opportunities in this sector.
Familiarity with HR software and tools, such as applicant tracking systems and performance management platforms.
Previous experience in change management or organizational development initiatives.
Knowledge of diversity, equity, and inclusion best practices and strategies.
Skills & tools Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and HR management software.
Strong analytical skills for interpreting HR data and metrics.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously in a quick-paced environment.
Practical notes This position is based in Calgary, Alberta, and may require occasional travel for recruitment or training purposes.
The salary for this role will be competitive and commensurate with experience.
