What you'll do Collaborate with various departments to understand their financial needs and provide tailored financial insights to support their objectives.
Develop and maintain financial models that assist in forecasting and budgeting processes, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost savings or revenue enhancement.
Prepare and present financial reports to senior management, highlighting key performance indicators and actionable insights.
Lead the annual budgeting process, working closely with department heads to ensure accuracy and alignment with strategic priorities.
Monitor and report on financial performance against budgets, providing recommendations for corrective actions when necessary.
Support investment analysis and business case development for new initiatives, ensuring thorough financial evaluation.
Act as a trusted advisor to business units,
providing guidance on financial implications of strategic decisions and operational changes.
Identify and implement process improvements within the finance function to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal policies, maintaining the integrity of financial reporting.
Participate in cross-functional projects, contributing financial expertise to drive successful outcomes.
Foster a culture of financial accountability and awareness across the organization through training and support.
Requirements Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
A minimum of 5 years of experience in finance or business partnering roles, preferably within a corporate environment.
Strong understanding of financial modeling, budgeting, and forecasting techniques.
Proficiency in financial analysis and reporting, with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to present financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
Experience with financial software and tools, such as ERP systems and advanced Excel functions.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment while managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
Knowledge of Canadian financial regulations and compliance standards is an asset.
Nice to have Professional designation such as CPA, CFA, or equivalent is preferred.
Experience in the technology or digital services sector is a plus.
Familiarity with data visualization tools, such as Tableau or Power BI, to enhance reporting capabilities.
Previous experience in project management or leading cross‑functional initiatives.
Skills & tools Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including financial modeling and data analysis.
Familiarity with accounting software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks).
Strong analytical skills with the ability to synthesize complex information into clear insights.
Excellent interpersonal skills for building relationships across various levels of the organization.
Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work effectively in a fast‑paced environment.
