What you'll do Lead the product development lifecycle from ideation to launch, ensuring that products meet both customer needs and business objectives.
Collaborate with engineering teams to define technical requirements and prioritize product features based on customer feedback and market research.
Conduct thorough market analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive landscape, enabling informed decision-making for product direction.
Develop and maintain a product roadmap that aligns with the company's strategic vision and customer demands.
Facilitate communication between stakeholders, including customers, engineers, and executives, to ensure alignment and transparency throughout the product development process.
Create detailed product specifications and user stories to guide the development team in building features that enhance user experience.
Monitor product performance post-launch, utilizing analytics and user feedback to drive continuous improvement and feature enhancements.
Organize and lead product demos and training sessions for internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure effective product adoption.
Manage stakeholder expectations and communicate product updates, timelines, and roadblocks effectively.
Foster a culture of innovation by encouraging team brainstorming sessions and exploring new technologies that can enhance product offerings.
Collaborate with marketing teams to develop go-to-market strategies that effectively promote new product features and enhancements.
Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies to ensure that Springfinancial remains a leader in the fintech space.
Requirements Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
A minimum of 5 years of experience in product management, preferably in the financial technology sector.
Proven track record of successfully managing the full product lifecycle from concept to launch.
Strong technical background with the ability to understand and communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Excellent analytical skills, with experience in data-driven decision-making and product performance analysis.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills,
with the ability to build relationships across diverse teams.
Experience with Agile methodologies and familiarity with project management tools such as JIRA or Trello.
Ability to thrive in a rapid-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to overcoming challenges.
Nice to have Experience working with financial products or services, particularly in areas such as lending, payments, or personal finance.
Familiarity with UX/UI design principles and experience working closely with design teams.
Knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance issues in the financial services industry.
Previous experience in a startup environment or a rapidly growing company.
Certification in product management or Agile methodologies (e.g., Certified Scrum Product Owner).
Skills & tools Proficiency in product management software and tools (e.g., Aha!, Productboard).
Familiarity with analytics tools such as Google Analytics, Mixpanel, or similar platforms.
Strong understanding of software development processes and methodologies.
Excellent presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment while also being self-motivated.
Practical notes This position is based in Vancouver, British Columbia, and may require occasional travel for stakeholder meetings or industry events.
Candidates must have valid work authorization to work in Canada.
