What you'll do Engage with a diverse group of professionals in the construction technology sector, sharing insights and experiences that enhance our community's knowledge base.
Participate in networking events and workshops that facilitate collaboration and professional growth among community members.
Assist in the development and execution of community initiatives aimed at promoting Giatec's mission and values within the industry.
Collaborate with internal teams to identify and address the needs and interests of community members, ensuring a supportive and enriching environment.
Contribute to the creation of engaging content for community platforms, including newsletters, social media, and blogs, to keep members informed and connected.
Support the recruitment process by identifying potential candidates who align with Giatec's culture and values, facilitating introductions and networking opportunities.
Gather feedback from community members to continuously improve engagement strategies and initiatives,
ensuring they meet the evolving needs of the group.
Represent Giatec at industry conferences and events, showcasing our innovative solutions and fostering relationships with potential partners and clients.
Collaborate with marketing and communications teams to promote community activities and successes, enhancing Giatec's brand presence in the industry.
Monitor industry trends and developments to keep community members informed and engaged, positioning Giatec as a thought leader in construction technology.
Facilitate mentorship opportunities within the community, connecting experienced professionals with newcomers to foster knowledge sharing and career development.
Organize and lead community meetings and discussions, creating a platform for members to share ideas, challenges, and solutions related to the construction sector.
Requirements A bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as engineering, construction management, or business administration.
A minimum of 2 years of experience in community engagement, talent acquisition, or a related field, preferably within the technology or construction sectors.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships and foster collaboration among diverse groups.
Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team,
demonstrating initiative and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Familiarity with social media platforms and digital communication tools, with experience in content creation and community management.
Passion for innovation and a keen interest in the construction technology landscape, with a desire to stay informed about industry trends and advancements.
Nice to have Experience in event planning and coordination, particularly in a professional or industry-specific context.
Knowledge of recruitment processes and best practices, with a focus on identifying talent that aligns with organizational culture.
Familiarity with project management tools and methodologies, enabling effective collaboration and organization of community initiatives.
Previous experience in a startup or fast-paced environment, demonstrating adaptability and a willingness to embrace change.
Skills & tools Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides).
Experience with customer relationship management (CRM) software and community engagement platforms.
Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and feedback to inform community strategies.
Excellent organizational skills, with a keen attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Practical notes This role is based in Ottawa, Ontario, and requires a full-time commitment.
Salary details are competitive and commensurate with experience.
