What you'll do Collaborate closely with hiring managers to understand their specific staffing needs and develop tailored recruitment strategies that align with departmental goals.
Manage the end-to-end recruitment process, from crafting compelling job descriptions to conducting interviews and facilitating candidate assessments.
Utilize various sourcing techniques, including social media, job boards, and networking events, to identify and engage with potential candidates.
Build and maintain a robust talent pipeline for current and future hiring needs, ensuring a diverse pool of candidates.
Conduct thorough reference checks and background screenings to validate candidate qualifications and fit for the organization.
Provide a positive candidate experience throughout the recruitment process, maintaining clear communication and timely feedback.
Analyze recruitment metrics and trends to continuously improve hiring strategies and processes, ensuring the organization meets its talent acquisition goals.
Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in talent acquisition, implementing innovative approaches to attract top talent.
Participate in employer branding initiatives to enhance Broccolini's reputation as an employer of choice within the construction and real estate sectors.
Organize and attend job fairs and recruitment events to promote Broccolini and connect with potential candidates in person.
Collaborate with the HR team to ensure a smooth onboarding process for new hires, facilitating their integration into the company culture.
Provide training and support to hiring managers on effective interviewing techniques and best practices in candidate selection.
Requirements A minimum of 3 years of experience in talent acquisition or recruitment, preferably within the construction or real estate industries.
Proven track record of successfully filling a variety of roles, from entry-level positions to senior management.
Strong understanding of recruitment best practices, including sourcing, interviewing, and candidate assessment techniques.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with candidates and hiring managers alike.
Proficiency in using applicant tracking systems (ATS) and other recruitment tools to streamline the hiring process.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple recruitment projects simultaneously, demonstrating strong organizational skills.
A results-oriented mindset with the ability to analyze data and make informed decisions to improve recruitment outcomes.
Familiarity with employment laws and regulations related to hiring practices in Ontario.
Nice to have Experience in employer branding and talent marketing initiatives to attract top candidates.
Knowledge of diversity and inclusion best practices in recruitment to foster a diverse workforce.
Certification in HR or recruitment, such as a CHRP or PHR designation, is a plus.
Familiarity with construction industry-specific roles and skill sets to better understand hiring needs.
Experience with social media recruiting and leveraging platforms like LinkedIn for talent acquisition.
Skills & tools Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Workspace.
Experience with applicant tracking systems (ATS) such as BambooHR or similar platforms.
Strong analytical skills to interpret recruitment metrics and identify areas for improvement.
Excellent negotiation skills to facilitate offer discussions with candidates.
Familiarity with HRIS systems and onboarding software to streamline processes.
Practical notes This position is based in Toronto, Ontario, and may require occasional travel for recruitment events or job fairs.
