What you'll do Develop comprehensive cost estimates for various construction projects, including commercial, residential, and industrial sectors.
Analyze project drawings, specifications, and other documentation to prepare detailed quantity take-offs.
Collaborate with project managers, architects, and subcontractors to gather necessary information for accurate estimates.
Conduct market research to assess material and labor costs, ensuring that estimates reflect current market conditions.
Prepare and present bid proposals to clients, highlighting the value and benefits of choosing Broccolini for their construction needs.
Monitor project budgets and provide ongoing cost analysis throughout the construction process to identify potential savings and cost overruns.
Participate in value engineering discussions to optimize project designs and reduce costs without compromising quality.
Maintain a database of historical cost data to improve the accuracy of future estimates and support strategic decision-making.
Assist in the preparation of tender documents and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
Support the procurement process by evaluating subcontractor bids and providing recommendations based on cost and quality.
Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits to gather information and clarify project requirements with stakeholders.




Continuously improve estimating processes and tools to enhance efficiency and accuracy in cost estimation.
Requirements Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
A minimum of 3 years of experience in construction estimating, preferably within the commercial or industrial sectors.
Proficient in using estimating software and tools, such as Sage Estimating, Bluebeam, or similar platforms.
Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and industry standards.
Excellent analytical and mathematical skills, with a keen eye for detail.
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact with team members and clients.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Familiarity with local building codes and regulations in Ontario.
Nice to have Certification from a recognized professional estimating organization, such as the American Society of Professional Estimators (ASPE).
Experience with project management software, such as Procore or MS Project.
Knowledge of sustainable building practices and green construction methods.
Bilingual proficiency in English and French is an asset.
