Right Choice Energy Services Inc. (RCESI) is currently accepting applications for a Journeyperson Pipefitter to join our growing team based in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan .
Reporting to the Shop and/or Site Supervisor(s), you will play an important role in supporting fabrication and construction activities in both our shop and field environments. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Journeyperson Pipefitter who enjoys hands-on work and is looking to contribute their skills within a safety-focused team setting.
Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
Reporting fit for duty at the beginning of each shift
Understanding and applying applicable provincial and federal standards related to construction activities
Reviewing and interpreting spool drawings, including orientations and structural components, to support fabrication and installation requirements
Completing spool installation activities, including required torquing procedures
Operating pipe threading equipment as required
Performing hydrostatic testing of piping systems and completing required documentation
Completing bolt-up activities and demonstrating proper use of torque equipment and bolting procedures
Mentoring and supporting apprentices in developing their skills and knowledge
Performing other duties as assigned
The successful candidate will be:
Safety conscious and committed to meeting all safety requirements
In possession of a Journeyperson Pipefitter certification
Capable of performing the physical requirements of the position, including lifting over 20lbs. and demonstrating worksite mobility
Hold or be willing to obtain prior to their start date, valid First Aid and H2S Alive certifications
Have experience with, or a willingness to learn, multidisciplinary activities including civil, structural, and piping work
Willing to work overtime and weekends when required
Willing to travel throughout Southern Saskatchewan, Alberta, and Manitoba
Hold a valid driver's licence with a clean driver's abstract
The successful candidate must successfully complete a pre-employment Drug & Alcohol test. In addition, audiometric and lung function testing will be scheduled by the Health & Safety Coordinator upon hire in accordance with applicable provincial regulations.
