Contribute to architectural education as a Sessional Instructional Assistant at the University of Toronto, teaching Structures and Building Systems. Bring your expertise in occupant-centered architecture and environmental systems to inspire students.
The Sessional Instructional Assistant will play a vital role in the Faculty of Architecture, Landscape, and Design. You will prepare and organize course materials, assist students outside of class, and evaluate their work. This position requires strong knowledge in building science and prior instructional experience in architectural courses.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare and organize course lessons and activities
• Provide assistance to students during office hours
• Evaluate student assignments and provide feedback
• Foster student engagement through hands-on instruction
• Collaborate with faculty on curriculum development
Requirements:
• Master of Architecture (M.Arch.) degree required
• Robust knowledge of building science and systems integration
• Experience in architectural lecture and studio environments
• Proficiency in Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) coordination
• Proven design experience in residential and commercial projects
