What you'll do Lead the financial planning and analysis process, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to support strategic decision-making.
Prepare and present monthly financial reports to senior management, highlighting key performance indicators and financial trends.
Oversee the preparation of financial statements in accordance with GAAP, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Manage cash flow projections and optimize working capital to support operational needs and growth initiatives.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop financial models that inform business strategies and investment decisions.
Implement and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure the integrity of financial reporting.
Conduct regular audits of financial processes and systems to identify areas for improvement and enhance operational efficiency.
Mentor and develop finance team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.
Liaise with external auditors and tax advisors to facilitate annual audits and ensure compliance with tax regulations.
Stay abreast of industry trends and changes in financial regulations that may impact the organization.
Support the CFO in strategic initiatives, including mergers and acquisitions, by providing financial insights and analysis.
Develop and maintain financial policies and procedures to ensure consistency and adherence across the organization.
Requirements Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; a Master's degree or CPA designation is preferred.
A minimum of 5 years of experience in finance or accounting, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
Strong knowledge of financial reporting standards and regulations, including GAAP and IFRS.
Proven experience in financial modeling, budgeting, and forecasting.
Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
Strong leadership and team management skills, with a track record of developing high-performing teams.
Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal,
with the ability to present financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
Proficiency in financial software and tools, such as ERP systems and advanced Excel functions.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Nice to have Experience in the technology or SaaS industry is a plus.
Familiarity with data analytics tools and techniques to enhance financial reporting and analysis.
Knowledge of international financial regulations and experience in managing global financial operations.
Previous experience with mergers and acquisitions or corporate finance is advantageous.
Bilingual proficiency in English and French is a plus.
