About the role Enfinite is seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Accountant to join our dynamic team in Calgary, Alberta. What you'll do Prepare and oversee the monthly financial close process, ensuring timely and accurate reporting of financial results.
Develop and maintain comprehensive financial models to support budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze financial performance and provide insights that drive business decisions.
Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements, including IFRS and local tax laws.
Prepare and review financial statements, ensuring they reflect the true financial position of the company.
Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and quarterly forecasts, providing variance analysis and commentary.
Manage the audit process, liaising with external auditors and ensuring all necessary documentation is provided.




Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure the accuracy of financial reporting.
Support the finance team in continuous improvement initiatives, identifying opportunities for process optimization and efficiency.
Mentor and guide junior accounting staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performance team environment.
Participate in special projects and ad-hoc analyses as required by management, contributing to strategic initiatives.
Stay updated on industry trends and changes in accounting regulations to ensure best practices are followed.
Requirements Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA designation is highly preferred.
A minimum of 5 years of experience in financial accounting or a similar role, preferably within the energy or renewable sector.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and compliance regulations.
Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems; experience with SAP or similar platforms is a plus.
Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal,



with the ability to present complex financial information clearly.
Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
High level of integrity and professionalism, with a commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
Nice to have Experience in the renewable energy sector or familiarity with sustainability accounting practices.
Advanced Excel skills, including experience with financial modeling and data analysis.
Knowledge of project accounting and cost management principles.
Familiarity with financial forecasting and budgeting software.
Previous experience in a leadership or supervisory role within an accounting team.

Practical notes This position is based in Calgary, Alberta, and may require occasional travel for business purposes.
Candidates must be eligible to work in Canada; sponsorship for work visas is not available at this time.
The selected candidate will be expected to work standard business hours, with flexibility required during peak periods such as month-end close and audit season.
