A Senior GIS QA Analyst is required to support a large-scalegeospatial application modernization initiative. The successful candidate willevaluate upgraded GIS infrastructure and newly upgraded GIS applications aspart of an enterprise technology transformation program. This role involves testing business-critical GISapplications that are being upgraded to a up-to-date GIS platform. The workincludes validating application functionality, infrastructure performance,integration capabilities, accessibility compliance, and overall user experienceimprovements.

The successful candidate will work closely with projectteams, testing leads, technical leads, business stakeholders, and projectmanagement resources to ensure high-quality delivery throughout the softwaredevelopment lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

Provideadvice and guidance on testing strategy, test plans, testing tools, andresource requirements.

Plan,organize, and execute testing activities for large-scale systems in bothGUI and non-GUI environments.

Conductsystems integration testing, specialized testing, and user acceptancetesting activities, including stress testing.

Developand execute test plans, test scripts, test cases, and test data.

Workclosely with testing leads, technical leads, project teams, andstakeholders throughout analysis, design, development, implementation, andsupport phases.

Supportongoing quality assurance initiatives and continuous improvementactivities.

Required Qualifications
General Testing & QA Experience

Experienceplanning, organizing, and implementing testing efforts for complexsystems.

Knowledgeof structured methodologies for application development, design,implementation, and maintenance.

Experienceusing Computer Aided Software Engineering (CASE) tools and data querytools.





Experienceutilizing automated testing tools and version control systems.

Experienceexecuting functional, non-functional, and systems integration testing.

Experiencesupporting User Acceptance Testing (UAT).

Strongknowledge of QA principles, methodologies, tools, and best practices.

Experiencecreating testing strategies, test plans, test cases, and test data.

Experiencewith unit, integration, load, and performance testing.

Knowledgeof all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

Excellentanalytical, problem-solving, organizational, communication, andinterpersonal skills.

Provenability to work collaboratively and meet project deadlines.

Knowledgeof one or more automated testing tools.

Desirable Qualifications

Knowledgeof at least one programming language.

Experienceworking with information retrieval tools and technologies.

Understandingof GIS infrastructure and application testing methodologies.

Knowledgeof Information Management principles and practices.

Understandingof Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) standards andrequirements.

Experiencetesting Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) applications.
