Contribute to Ontario’s public policies as a Policy Analyst at the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner. Bring your expertise in access and privacy to a dynamic, hybrid workplace.
The IPC seeks a dedicated Policy Analyst for a 12-month full-time contract in Toronto. This role involves researching, analyzing, and advising on privacy and access issues in Ontario’s public sector. You will engage with key stakeholders and provide critical recommendations to advance Ontarians’ privacy rights and transparency.
Key Responsibilities:
• Identify and document privacy developments in Ontario
• Provide policy analysis on FIPPA and related legislation
• Coordinate with partners across various sectors
• Lead IPC policy initiatives and support project management
• Prepare briefing notes, presentations, and other communications
Requirements:
• Knowledge of access and privacy issues in the public sector
• Demonstrated relationship management and consultation skills
• Experience in research and policy analysis
• Solid communication and presentation skills
• Ability to manage projects under tight deadlines
